HALAL Certification

Halal is an Arabic term meaning ‘permitted, allowed or lawful’. Halal when used in relation to food and other consumer goods, means “permissible for consumption and use by Muslims. Opposite to it is Haram, which means forbidden or not allowed.

We can help food manufacturing and distribution companies to achieve HALAL certification. The details of our scope of work:

1) To prepare technical files in co- ordination with your technical
consultants as per HALAL requirement.
2) To keep ready samples/ process flow charts, Raw Materials Specifications,
Final Test Certificates etc.
3) To Co-ordinate & test guide in arranging test Certificates, Technical
Specifications, Documentation & File.
4) To arrange, Co-ordinate & Communicate with HALAL auditor/s for Auditing,
Testing Technical & Certification findings.

Certificate validity: 1 year and will be audited every year.


OTHER TERMS:
1) Conveyance, Boarding, Lodging to be borne by your company during visit to factory & HALAL Office
2) Service tax 10.3% extra (or as applicable at the time of billing)
3) You have to provide us all technical and other related information
required for certification as an when required
4) You have to provide samples for each product for testing
5) After completing Auditing process the certification process would take
normally 15 to 60 days subject to closure of audit findings raised by HALAL auditors.

Fee details of HALAL Certification

Registration and Certification Fee Structure, effective 1^st April 2008

Fee schedule of Registration, Certification and Logo printing (subject to agreement) are appended below.

AUDIT FEE Rs 4000.00

Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per product has to be paid for inclusion in the registration certificate after inspection/audit of the factory/plant or after issuance of the registration certificate / HALAL Certificate.

Certification Charges (Consignment/Invoice)

Rs100.00 (Rs One hundred only) per Rs100000.00 (Rs One Lac) Invoice value or/and in multiplication (elaborated as following)

HALAL Logo printing (subject to agreement)

Cost of Training, Consultancy, Documentation will be extra and will depend upon the number of products, process and Good Hygiene practices.
